1). I speak fluent Spanish, having spent time traveling in Chile (8 months), Peru (a week); Columbia (2 weeks); Panama (2 days because I was sleeping when my connecting flight took off); Costa Rica (1 week during which I helped to translate a book from Spanish to English); and Mexico (one week in the capital). Then, I got a Bachelor's Degree magna cum laude in Spanish. I am fluently literate in Spanish and so I am able to read documents in Salvadoran Government and media repositories that someone not fluent in Spanish would not be able to find and decipher.
1.5) I absolutely love to read, particularly when there is a certain piece of information or a story that I'm following. So, I was willing to read every single article, government document and commercial website I could find about MAMZ and his family, in English and in Spanish, and look for the inconsistencies and the shocking surprises.
For example, I never would have expected to discover that MAMZ's family was involved in the salt business and was polluting grey whale and sea turtle spawning grounds in Baja, Mexico, of all places. And I never would have expected to discover that MAMZ's family maintains an office in the same Texas town where George W. Bush was born. These are the kinds of discoveries one only makes when one reads everything that is available and follows the trail wherever it leads.
2). I once worked for a year at Dunn and Bradstreet, an international corporate credit rating firm, where I had to write literally one hundred credit reports per week based on information that I had rounded up in five days or less. I learned to quickly ask the right questions and follow the trail of information wherever it leads, putting the pieces together until a whole intelligible puzzle becomes a comprehensive photograph.
3). I spent three years in law school and in interships where research and writing are the names of the game. Once again, the pressure to research and write quickly, accurately and factually, and to provide citations for all information offered is something I was trained to do.
4). I practiced immigration law from 1996 until 1999, and I learned to distinguish as a matter of law and fact, between someone who is an poor and humble immigrant someone who who is a wealthy member of the oligarchy while pretending to be a poor and humble immigrant. In my job as managing attorney for Catholic Social Services immigration programs, I wrote the forms we used to determine who was financially eligible for our low-cost services (and really needed them) and who did not. If Markos Moulitsas had come to me asking me to help him with his immigration circumstances, I would have explained to him that (1) he is not an immigrant as a matter of law, since he was born in Chicago, and (2) he should ask his family for money before relying on services that are meant for people from poor and humble backgrounds.
5). I have a sense of color-associated justice and injustice that simply would not allow me to be exiled from DailyKos for insisting that it was time for a president who was not a white male. As the country finally agreed by a significant margin, it really was time for a Black male president. So, when I was exiled from DailyKos for making this case, I decided that I would not stop digging until I could discover why people who called themselves "progressive" were actually so repressive and dictatorial. I also decided that I would not sit by passively and let the pseudo-progressives coronate another white man -- like Al Gore, John Edwards (God help us), Mark Warner or Russ Feingold (good guy but nothing like Barack Obama) as Democratic nominee.
In retrospect, I think it's obvious that Barack Obama has gifts that only his skin color could have hidden from the pseudo-progressives of the whitosphere, and I was determined to make that case, once I had decided to support Obama over Clinton.
6). I have a tendency to be obsessive. Once I start a job, I cannot put it down until it is complete, and that's why The Indictment has 31 counts and 10 additional questions that demand to be answered, while referencing research based on literally hundreds of sources, some of which are incorporated by reference to other articles I wrote about MAMZ before I wrote the Indictment.
7). I know a good story when I see one, and a pseudo progressive blogger who starts a world famous leftist blog while training for two years at the CIA is the story of a lifetime. The only reason the mainstream media has not written about it (although I've had telephone coversations and e-mail correspondence about these facts) is that the mainstream media does not expose CIA operatives and assets, no matter how obvious and well-documented it is that that's what they are.
8). The one thing I haven't been willing to do is to call El Salvador and interview members of MAMZ's family, people who work for them, people who sell to and buy goods from them, and other people who know them intimately. There's something about speaking directly with people whom I believe to have CIA and death squad contacts that makes me afraid. I'm actually quite astonished that no one has come to get me yet for publishing what I have.
The operative word there is "yet", and that's what stops me from calling El Salvador and speaking directly with members of MAMZ's family. I'm afraid of the long arms of the CIA.
9). In retrospect, I believe that MAMZ and the DailyKos crowd believed that harrassing Hillary Clinton at every turn would lead to the election of another white male president. Because of their color-aroused beliefs about what Senator Barack Obama could (not) achieve, they believed that taking Hillary Clinton out of the running would help one of the white males in the race. Had they succeeded in making John Edwards the candidate, then John McCain would probably be president now. I often suspected that that was what MAMZ wanted all along: to nominate someone who was unelectable and thereby thrown the 2008 presidential election to the Republicans. (Just look what happened when MAMZ and DailyKos took on Senator Joseph Lieberman!)
10). Perhaps most important of all, I am independent and I really couldn't care less what most people think of me. As between finding the truth and maintaining frienships with a lie, I'd much rather find the truth and expose truth, even if it means I have to live a more solitary life, without the approval of the whitosphere.
Because many Black people couldn't care less what goes on in the whitosphere, I also had to continue pursuing my prey even when other Black people could not see the point.
The full story has not been written about MAMZ yet, and probably won't be written until, like James Buckley, MAMZ explains to the public what he did and why he did it three decades ago, in the first decade of the 21st Century. It's possible that a newspaper with a big budget will do an enterprise story on MAMZ, but I wouldn't bet on it. Because newspapers don't expose the CIA, its agents and assets.
11). I confess that I love "ego surfing", which is looking for one's name all over the Internet. So, when I discovered that there were thousands of people who suspected and disliked MAMZ just as much as I do, it became a pleasure to find new information about him and then see myself quoted in blogs all over the Internet, from the furthest left to right-wing blogs like Little Green Footballs. I also discovered that if the novelties offered are compelling enough then white people don't even care that they were discovered or invented by a Black person, just as they'll use gas masks and traffic lights (because they make the roads safer and firefighting safer) even though they were both invented by the same Black man:
Although whites can present themselves and feel more credible based simply on their skin color, Blacks have to present that which they have created and it must stand or fall on its own. The news at The Truth About Kos stands on its own because it comes from hundreds of sources but is gathered chronologically and comprehensibly in one place. That's why other writers tell the story in its general outlines and then refer readers to The Truth About Kos for all of the original research links, where readers can examine each original source for themselves, just as I did when I first discovered them.Gas Mask
On July 25, 1916, Garrett Morgan made national news for using his gas mask to rescue 32 men trapped during an explosion in an underground tunnel 250 feet beneath Lake Erie. Morgan and a team of volunteers donned the new "gas masks" and went to the rescue. After the rescue, Morgan's company received requests from fire departments around the country who wished to purchase the new masks. The Morgan gas mask was later refined for use by U.S. Army during World War I. In 1914, Garrett Morgan was awarded a patent for a Safety Hood and Smoke Protector. Two years later, a refined model of his early gas mask won a gold medal at the International Exposition of Sanitation and Safety, and another gold medal from the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
The Morgan Traffic Signal
The first American-made automobiles were introduced to U.S. consumers shortly before the turn of the century. The Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903 and with it American consumers began to discover the adventures of the open road. In the early years of the 20th century it was not uncommon for bicycles, animal-powered wagons, and new gasoline-powered motor vehicles to share the same streets and roadways with pedestrians. Accidents were frequent. After witnessing a collision between an automobile and a horse-drawn carriage, Garrett Morgan took his turn at inventing a traffic signal. Other inventors had experimented with, marketed, and even patented traffic signals, however, Garrett Morgan was one of the first to apply for and acquire a U.S. patent for an inexpensive to produce traffic signal. The patent was granted on November 20, 1923. Garrett Morgan also had his invention patented in Great Britain and Canada. Garrett Morgan stated in his patent for the traffic signal, "This invention relates to traffic signals, and particularly to those which are adapted to be positioned adjacent the intersection of two or more streets and are manually operable for directing the flow of traffic... In addition, my invention contemplates the provision of a signal which may be readily and cheaply manufactured."The Morgan traffic signal was a T-shaped pole unit that featured three positions: Stop, Go and an all-directional stop position. This "third position" halted traffic in all directions to allow pedestrians to cross streets more safely.
Garrett Morgan's hand-cranked semaphore traffic management device was in use throughout North America until all manual traffic signals were replaced by the automatic red, yellow, and green-light traffic signals currently used around the world. The inventor sold the rights to his traffic signal to the General Electric Corporation for $40,000. Shortly before his death in 1963, Garrett Morgan was awarded a citation for his traffic signal by the United States Government. Inventors.About.Com
